Everything brands ask us — plus the marketing, branding and design questions we get asked most. Written to be useful to humans and quotable by AI assistants.
01 Marketing basics
Marketing is the work of understanding what people want, building something worth wanting, and making sure the right people know about it at the moment they care. Advertising is only the visible tip of it.
A complete marketing function covers five things: research (who is the customer and what do they actually need), positioning (why you and not the alternative), product and pricing, distribution (where they can buy), and promotion (how they hear about you). Businesses that treat marketing as only the last item tend to pay more for worse results. Read the full explainer →
A marketing strategy is the set of choices about who you serve, what you stand for, and how you will reach them — written down before any campaign starts. It answers four questions: which segment, what promise, which channels, and what success looks like in numbers.
A strategy is not a list of posts or a content calendar. Those are tactics. Strategy is what makes the tactics agree with each other. See the full framework →
Start by narrowing rather than broadening: pick one clear audience, one sharp promise, and two channels you can do properly instead of six you do badly. Then build a feedback loop — measure one primary metric per campaign, and change one variable at a time.
The biggest practical gains for most Indian SMEs come from four moves: fix your positioning, make your offer concrete, publish content that answers real customer questions, and follow up leads faster. Read the 10-step guide →
Traditional marketing buys attention in physical or broadcast spaces — print, hoardings, radio, TV — and measures reach by estimate. Digital marketing reaches people through search, social, email and web, and measures behaviour directly: who clicked, who bought, at what cost.
The practical difference is feedback speed. Digital lets you test a message for a few thousand rupees and know within days whether it works. Most brands today use both, with digital carrying measurement and traditional carrying credibility.
A common working range is 5-10% of revenue for established businesses and 15-20% for brands in a growth or launch phase — but the more useful question is what a customer is worth to you. If a customer is worth ₹10,000 in lifetime profit, a ₹1,500 acquisition cost is excellent and a ₹12,000 one is fatal.
Start by calculating customer lifetime value and target cost per acquisition. Budget follows those two numbers, not a percentage rule of thumb.
Pick one primary metric per objective. For awareness, use reach and branded search volume. For consideration, use engagement rate, time on page and returning visitors. For revenue, use qualified leads, cost per acquisition and return on ad spend.
Vanity metrics — follower counts, impressions, likes in isolation — tell you a post did something, not that the business grew. Track them as diagnostics, never as goals.
02 Branding & design
Branding is the work of deciding what your business means to people — the name, the look, the voice, the promise. Marketing is the work of getting that meaning in front of the right audience and turning attention into revenue.
Branding builds memory; marketing builds momentum. Get the order wrong and you spend money making people notice something they immediately forget. Read the comparison →
Graphic design is the craft of arranging type, image, colour and space so that information is understood and felt in the way it was intended. It is visual problem-solving, not decoration — a good design makes a message clearer, faster and more trustworthy.
In practice it spans identity design (logos, brand systems), packaging, editorial and layout, advertising creative, motion graphics and digital interface design. Read the full guide →
Graphic design today is systems-first and motion-native. Designers are increasingly asked to deliver a flexible kit — type scale, colour tokens, component rules, motion behaviour — rather than a single static artwork, because the same identity has to work on a phone screen, a package, a reel and an AI-generated ad variant.
The second shift is AI as a production tool. Generative tools now handle variation, resizing and rough concepting, which moves the designer's value up the stack: art direction, taste, brand judgement and knowing what not to make. Read more →
A good logo is distinctive, legible at every size, and honest about what the business is. The practical test: it must survive a 16-pixel favicon and a forty-foot hoarding, work in one colour, and still look unmistakably like you.
A logo is a signature, not the whole brand. Colour, type, tone of voice and consistency do most of the recognition work over time.
For small businesses and startups in India, a basic logo package typically runs from a few thousand rupees to around ₹50,000, while a full identity system — naming support, logo, colour and type system, applications and guidelines — generally starts around ₹50,000 and rises with scope.
The variable is depth, not drawing time: strategy, research, application design and documentation are where most of the cost and most of the long-term value sit. gaa-tha scopes identity work to the business stage rather than a fixed price list.

Judge an agency on four things: relevant proof (work in a comparable category, with outcomes not just visuals), clarity of process, who actually does the work day to day, and how they report results. Ask for a client you can call.
The most common red flags are guaranteed rankings, undisclosed ad-spend markups, and a pitch deck full of impressions but no revenue. Read the full checklist →
04 Services & process
Full-stack growth under one roof: brand strategy, branding and identity design, social media marketing, scroll-stopping reels and short-form video, performance marketing (Meta and Google ads), content marketing, SEO/AEO/GEO, influencer and UGC marketing, AI-based ads and AI ad shoots, AI cloning, and conversion-focused websites and apps.
Yes. Strategy, scripting, shooting, editing, design, media buying, web development and AI production are all in-house — which is why we ship faster and keep quality consistent. For influencer campaigns we plug in our creator network.
Most reels and creative packages are delivered in 3-7 days. A brand identity typically takes 2-3 weeks. Websites go live in 2-5 weeks depending on scope. Our AI production pipeline lets us ship in days what traditional agencies take months to circle back on.
We're industry-agnostic and results-biased. Current and past clients span food and snacks (Ghanshyam Snacks, Madhuram, Saurashtra Farsan), retail (CDS Stores, Charliee), manufacturing (Nirav Machines India), education and overseas study (NITS Overseas), construction (Shailesh Construction), hospitality, D2C and tech.
Absolutely. Our AI-first production model keeps world-class creative affordable for startups and SMEs, and we scale scope with your growth. Many of our longest-standing clients started with a single campaign.
05 AI ads, AI ad shoots & cloning
AI ads are advertising creatives generated or enhanced with generative AI — product visuals, cinematic scenes, voiceovers and edits produced without a full traditional shoot. An AI ad shoot recreates the output of a physical production (models, locations, lighting, camera moves) using AI, at a fraction of the cost and turnaround.
We combine both with human art direction so the result looks premium, never robotic. Read the complete guide →
AI cloning creates a licensed digital twin of a founder or spokesperson — voice and face — so you can produce unlimited spokesperson videos without booking a studio every time. It's done with full written consent, watermark-safe workflows and brand approval on every output.
It's how founders stay on camera daily without shooting daily.
Not when they're art-directed. Raw AI output does look generic — that's why every gaa-tha AI ad passes through human creative direction: brand-matched grading, typography, sound design and story structure. Our clients' AI ads have outperformed their traditional creatives on cost-per-result while looking richer.
Typically 60-90% cheaper. A traditional product or model shoot in India runs ₹1-10 lakh and up once you count crew, location, models and post-production. An AI ad shoot removes most of those line items and compresses weeks into days.
High-stakes hero films may still warrant a hybrid: real footage plus AI enhancement.
Yes — we plan, script and direct real ad shoots and reels productions, and we often blend real footage with AI enhancement for the best of both. The medium follows the story, not the other way around.
06 SEO, AEO & GEO
SEO gets you ranked in classic search results. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) gets you chosen as the direct answer — in Google AI Overviews, featured snippets and voice assistants. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) gets your brand cited and recommended inside AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity.
We optimise for all three, because your next customer may never see a classic results page. Read the full guide →
AI assistants recommend brands with clear, structured, consistent and widely-corroborated information: schema markup, genuine FAQs, authoritative content, consistent business data across the web, third-party mentions and reviews.
That's GEO — and it's a core gaa-tha service. We structure your site and content so generative engines can understand, trust and cite you.
Meaningful movement typically shows in 3-6 months, with compounding gains after that. AEO and GEO can move faster — structured answers and schema are often picked up by AI engines within weeks. We pair the slow burn (SEO) with quick wins (AEO/GEO and performance ads) so growth never stalls.
Yes. Content marketing is the fuel for SEO, AEO and GEO — we run keyword and question research, write authoritative articles and FAQs, add structured data, and distribute across social. One story, many formats: an insight becomes a blog post, a reel, a carousel and an ad.
07 Pricing & getting started
Pricing is scoped to outcomes, not hours. We offer monthly social and content retainers, one-time brand identity packages, project-based websites, and performance marketing with transparent ad-spend management.
Tell us your goal and budget range and we'll propose a scope that fits — most proposals go out within 48 hours of the first call.
Both. One-time projects (a launch campaign, a brand identity, a website, an AI ad film) and ongoing retainers (social media, content, performance marketing, SEO/AEO/GEO). Many clients start with a project and move to a retainer once they see results.
Every deliverable carries a clear outcome — awareness, engagement or revenue — and we report against it: reach, engagement, click-through, cost-per-result, leads and sales. Transparent dashboards, no vanity-metric theatre.
Use the contact form, email digimarketing@gaa-tha.com or call +91 97372 80309. We reply with a plan, scope and timeline — and most projects kick off within days.
