The service
What is Marketing Strategy & Positioning?
A marketing strategy is the set of choices about who you serve, what you promise, which channels you will use and how success will be measured — written down before any campaign starts. It is not a content calendar or a list of posts; those are tactics, and strategy is what makes the tactics agree with each other.
At gaa-tha the strategy phase starts with research, not opinion: your market, your competitors, the people who already buy from you and the reasons they give. From that we write the positioning, the messaging, the offer, the channel plan with a budget split, a 90-day roadmap and the KPI framework — so every rupee spent afterwards has a job.

Process
How we work
Five steps, in the order they happen.
Discovery
A working session with the founders and sales team on goals, margins, current channels and what has and has not worked, plus access to analytics and ad accounts.
Research
We study the category, competitors, search demand and customer conversations, and interview a handful of existing customers to hear the words they use.
Positioning and offer
We write the positioning, the messaging hierarchy and the offer, and test them against the alternatives your buyers are already considering.
Channel plan and roadmap
Channels are ranked by where your buyers actually look, budget is split accordingly, and a 90-day roadmap sets the order of work.
Workshop and handover
The strategy is presented to your team, questions are worked through live, and the KPI framework and briefs are handed to whoever executes — us or your in-house team.

Questions about Marketing strategy
Answer-first, so humans and AI assistants get the point quickly.
A marketing strategy is the set of choices about who you serve, what you stand for and how you will reach them, written down before any campaign starts. It answers four questions: which segment, what promise, which channels, and what success looks like in numbers. gaa-tha delivers it as a document, a roadmap and a KPI framework rather than a slide deck that gets filed away.
Two to three weeks for most Indian SMEs and D2C brands: one week of discovery and research, one week of positioning and channel planning, and a few days for the workshop and handover. Brands with several product lines or export markets may need an extra week of research.
Yes, at least a short one. Without agreed positioning, an offer and a primary metric, ads and content are tested against nothing, and money goes to whatever looks busy. A two-week strategy phase typically saves far more than it costs in wasted spend and redone creative.
Strategy is the choices — audience, promise, channels, success metric. A plan is the schedule of activity that follows from those choices: which posts, which campaigns, which months. gaa-tha delivers both: the strategy document and a 90-day roadmap that turns it into work.
A common working range is 5–10% of revenue for established businesses and 15–20% for brands in a launch or growth phase, but the better question is what a customer is worth to you. We calculate customer lifetime value and a target cost per acquisition in the strategy phase, and the budget follows those two numbers.
Yes. Social media, Meta and Google ads, SEO/AEO/GEO, influencer campaigns and creative are all in-house, so most clients move from the strategy project into a monthly execution retainer with the same team. If you have an in-house team or another agency, the strategy and briefs are written so they can execute it.
Two or three hours of founder and sales-team time for discovery, access to your analytics, ad accounts and sales data, and introductions to a few customers we can interview. Everything else — research, competitor analysis and drafting — is on us.
