The service
What is Meesho, JioMart & Other Marketplaces?
Meesho and JioMart onboarding is the process of registering a brand on India's price-led and mass-reach marketplaces and building catalogues that work there: Meesho for low-ticket fashion, home and lifestyle bought by value-conscious and reseller audiences in smaller cities, JioMart for grocery, FMCG and general merchandise under Reliance, and Shopsy, Snapdeal and Tata CLiQ for their own audiences. Each has its own seller panel, catalogue format, fee structure and return behaviour.
At gaa-tha these platforms are approached with a clear view of the economics. Low ticket sizes, cash-on-delivery, returns and shipping can turn a busy channel into a loss-making one, so we choose which SKUs go on which platform, price them for the net margin rather than the headline, and report each channel separately every month so you can scale the ones that pay.

Process
How we work
Five steps, in the order they happen.
Channel and SKU selection
We map your range and price points to each platform's buyer and fee structure, and choose the SKUs that can make money on Meesho, JioMart and the others.
Registration and approvals
Seller accounts are registered in your business's name on each platform, with GST, bank, brand and category approvals completed and documented.
Catalogue build
Listings are built to each platform's template — bulk uploads, category attributes, image rules and pack-size variants — and QC rejections are fixed until everything is live.
Pricing and promotions
Prices are set from a net-margin model per platform, and promotions and sale-event participation are planned for the SKUs where the margin holds.
Operate and report
Orders, RTO, returns, ratings and account health are watched weekly, and a monthly per-channel report shows what each marketplace is really earning.

Good to know
Questions about Meesho & JioMart
Answer-first, so humans and AI assistants get the point quickly.
Usually GST registration, PAN, a current bank account, identity and address proof, and product details with MRP and HSN; brands need a trademark or authorisation letter for branded listings, and food and grocery SKUs on JioMart need FSSAI. Meesho has at times allowed sellers without GST in specific categories, so we confirm the current rules for your category before you apply.
Registration and verification usually take a few days on each platform, and the catalogue goes live within one to three weeks depending on SKU count and QC rounds. Running several platforms in parallel does not add much time because the product data is prepared once and re-mapped.
Each platform has its own structure — commission by category, shipping charges, payment or collection fees, and penalties for returns or cancellations — and Meesho's model is known for being commission-light while shipping and returns carry more of the cost. Rates vary and change, so we share the current structure per platform and model your net margin before listing.
It depends on your price points. Meesho reaches a very large value-conscious audience in smaller cities, but low ticket sizes, cash-on-delivery and returns squeeze margin. It works for brands with SKUs designed for that price band; we select those SKUs rather than putting the whole range on.
JioMart for grocery, FMCG and household; Meesho and Shopsy for value fashion, home and lifestyle; Tata CLiQ for mid-premium fashion and electronics; Snapdeal for value general merchandise. We recommend an order based on your category and margin, usually after Amazon and Flipkart are live.
By tracking return reasons and RTO rates by SKU and pincode, filing claims where the platform allows for wrong or damaged returns, and adjusting pricing, packaging or the assortment where a SKU keeps coming back. Returns are the biggest hidden cost on price-led marketplaces, so they are reviewed every month.
You can run the accounts yourself with the handover document, or move to our monthly management, which covers promotions, ratings, returns, catalogue quality and a per-channel report. Many brands keep management on the two or three platforms that prove profitable and pause the rest.
