The service

What is Reviews & Ratings Management?

Reviews and ratings management is the work of earning more genuine reviews for a product, responding to the ones it gets, and recovering a rating that has fallen — all within the marketplace's policies. It includes review requests through the platform's own tools, programmes such as Amazon Vine, compliant packaging inserts, response templates and service-level targets for negative reviews and buyer questions, analysis of complaint themes, and fixes to the product, packaging or listing that remove the cause. Buying reviews, incentivising positive reviews or asking only happy customers to review are policy violations that put the whole account at risk, so none of that is part of it.

At gaa-tha reviews are treated as a signal about the product and the listing, not only as a number to push up. Every negative review is tagged by cause — size, damage in transit, expectation set by the listing, quality — and the monthly review shows which causes are growing so the fix goes into the product or the page rather than into more requests.

Process

How we work

Five steps, in the order they happen.

01

Audit and targets

We review rating, velocity and complaint themes for every SKU, compare them with competitors, and agree which listings need volume, which need recovery and which need a product fix.

02

Compliant request system

Platform review requests are switched on and timed, Vine or equivalent programmes are enrolled where eligible, and inserts are designed to stay inside the rules.

03

Response process

Templates, tone and a response-time target are set for negative reviews and buyer questions, so no complaint sits unanswered on the page.

04

Fix the causes

Complaints are tagged by cause each week and the recurring ones are fixed at the source — listing expectations, size charts, packaging or the product itself.

05

Recover and report

Listings below the trusted rating get a recovery plan, and the monthly report shows rating, velocity and complaint trends by SKU.

Good to know

Questions about Reviews & ratings

Answer-first, so humans and AI assistants get the point quickly.

Yes, within the rules: review requests through the platform's own tools timed to delivery, Amazon Vine for eligible new products, and compliant inserts that ask for honest feedback. What we will not do is buy reviews, offer incentives or steer only happy customers to review, because that risks listing removal or account suspension.

For a new product with few reviews, usually yes: Vine sends units to trusted reviewers who leave honest reviews quickly, which helps conversion and ads. It has an enrolment fee paid to Amazon and needs Brand Registry, so we use it for launches where early reviews change the outcome.

Quickly, publicly where the platform allows and always calmly: acknowledge the issue, state what has been done or offer a route to resolve it, and never argue. Buyer questions get the same treatment. A response target is agreed at the start so nothing sits unanswered.

Only if they breach the platform's guidelines — for example, they are about delivery rather than the product, contain abuse, or are clearly for a different item. We report those through the proper channels with evidence. Genuine negative reviews cannot be removed; they are answered and their cause is fixed.

First by finding the cause in the review themes and fixing it, then by rebuilding velocity with compliant requests so newer, better reviews shift the average. Where a product has changed materially, a new variation or relaunch is sometimes the honest route. Recovery usually takes two to three months.

They can if they offer a reward, ask for a positive review or push buyers to review outside the platform. A neutral card that thanks the buyer, gives care or usage tips and asks for honest feedback is allowed on most platforms. We design inserts to those rules and review them when policies change.

Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, AJIO and JioMart, plus Google Business Profile reviews for brands with stores or a local presence. Each has its own tools and policies, so the request and response process is set up per platform.
