The service

What is Flipkart Onboarding & Account Management?

Flipkart seller management is the work of registering a brand on Flipkart Seller Hub and then running the account every week: catalogue and listing quality checks, pricing and offers, Flipkart Ads (Product Listing Ads and Product Contextual Ads), participation in sale events such as Big Billion Days and Big Saving Days, account health metrics, returns, and Seller Protection Fund claims for damaged, wrong or missing returns. Flipkart rewards sellers who keep listings clean, prices sharp and service metrics green.

At gaa-tha Flipkart is run as its own channel with its own economics rather than a copy of the Amazon account. Buyers on Flipkart are more price-led and more likely to come from tier-2 and tier-3 cities, returns behave differently, and the sale-event calendar drives a larger share of the year, so the assortment, pricing ladder and ad plan are built for that.

Process

How we work

Five steps, in the order they happen.

01

Eligibility and setup

We confirm GST, bank, brand and category requirements, register the Seller Hub account in your business's name and secure brand and category approvals.

02

Catalogue and QC

SKUs are built to Flipkart's templates with complete attributes and compliant images, and every QC rejection is fixed until the catalogue is fully live.

03

Pricing and fulfilment

A pricing ladder is set against fees and return costs, fulfilment is configured through FBF or your own warehouse, and Flipkart Assured eligibility is worked towards.

04

Ads and events

PLA and PCA campaigns are launched by product and keyword, and sale events are planned months ahead with stock, pricing and ad budgets.

05

Operate and report

Weekly work on listings, ads, account health, returns and SPF claims, with a monthly report on orders, revenue, ad efficiency, returns and net margin.

Questions about Flipkart

Answer-first, so humans and AI assistants get the point quickly.

GST registration, PAN, a current bank account with a cancelled cheque, identity and business address proof, and product details with MRP and HSN. Brand-owned listings usually need a trademark certificate or a brand authorisation letter, and categories like food or cosmetics need their licences. gaa-tha shares the current checklist before you apply.

Registration and verification usually take a few days, and the catalogue takes one to two weeks depending on SKU count and how many QC rounds are needed. Most brands are live within two to three weeks, with the first sale-event nomination planned straight after.

A commission by category, a fixed fee by order value, a collection fee and shipping fees, plus optional FBF storage and advertising. The rates vary by category and price band and are revised periodically, so we share the current structure and model your net margin per SKU before listing.

Product Listing Ads (PLA) show your products in search results and product pages against keywords or categories and are paid per click; Product Contextual Ads (PCA) are banner placements on Flipkart's pages, better for brand visibility and event pushes. Most brands start with PLA and add PCA around sale events.

Nominations, pricing and stock are usually locked weeks before the event, so we plan two to three months out: which SKUs go into the event, the discount ladder, FBF inbound dates, ad budgets and creative. During the event, ads and prices are watched daily.

Returns are checked against reasons and images, and every wrong, damaged or missing return that qualifies is filed as a Seller Protection Fund claim with the evidence Flipkart asks for within the deadline. A claims tracker shows what was filed, approved and paid.

Usually, yes: the badge signals quality and reliable delivery, and buyers filter for it. Eligibility depends on fulfilment through FBF or meeting service metrics, packaging standards and quality checks, so we work towards it as part of onboarding.

If your SKUs work at low ticket sizes, yes — Shopsy is Flipkart's price-led app and listings can be extended from the same Seller Hub account. We select SKUs where the margin still holds after Shopsy's fee structure and returns.
